Dr. Greg J. de Castro, Ph.D.

Dr. Greg J. de Castro has a Ph.D. in Philosophy with a specialization in Holistic Life Coaching from the University of Sedona. He is also an Ordained Minister through the International Metaphysical Ministry and was awarded his Metaphysical Practitioners diploma through the University of Metaphysics. Prior to that he became a Reiki Master, obtained an Advanced Diploma in Stress Management from Stonebridge College, and studied psychology through the University of South Africa. Greg is not your typical “Holistic Life Coach.” He has more than 30 years in the fire & rescue services, having served in a number of fire stations in the Western Cape of Southern Africa. As a fireman he worked 24- hour shifts. Even on his days off he was subject to being called out in the event of a major fire. On duty, whether asleep, eating, or working, or just relaxing in the evening, when the alarm sounds, firemen are ready to meet any challenge that might be calling. Hazardous and demanding? Yes … but it’s a rewarding career to be able to help those in need of assistance. As a fireman, Greg has witnessed a great deal of pain, suffering, death, and destruction. In his own family he overcame insurmountable odds in his life.

Greg is currently a fire officer in the only Nuclear Power Station on the continent of Africa. He continues on his journey of seeking knowledge about the Universe and humanity. His ministry simply includes the message of stepping lightly on Earth and being in awe of the beauty of everything. In his everyday life he celebrates moments helping others, and it’s made his life. For example, he had a moment of sharing his Reiki treatments on over 75 nuclear professionals during an annual Wellness Month held at the Nuclear Power Station where he works. Imagine that! In addition, he enjoys a healthy lifestyle.

Greg lives in Cape Town, South Africa with his wife Debby of over 33 years. He has two sons, Dylan and Dean. In his spare time he enjoys travelling, photography, and just being human.

Not long before retirement, and Greg will be available for weddings, marriage blessings, commitment ceremonies, and other special events. Whether you want a traditional or unique ceremony, he will commit to making your plans successful, and your very important event a beautiful experience. Watch this space!
