Dr. Patrick A Casthely, Ph.D.

Dr. Patrick A Casthely PhD, LMHC, CAP, CMHP, CAADAC II is a Chief Executive Officer of A Journey to Well-Being. As the Clinical Director of the largest treatment center in North America, Patrick was able to build one of the most recognized treatment facilities in South Florida. He inherited a census of thirty beds and was able to create a one hundred thirty two bed nationally recognized program. He raised the standard of care by achieving seventy five day lengths of stay, low rates of client leaving treatment prematurely and despite the size of the program he was able to create a stable healthy environment that was conducive to recovery from drugs and alcohol.

Patrick is a triple board certified psychotherapist that attributes his success to his clinical/spiritual approach. He believes in a client-centered model that individualizes treatment to meet the client’s needs by addressing their faulty belief system. By using this empathic approach one is able to establish a healthy relationship that fosters healing. Patrick supervised ten clinicians and worked closely with them to adopt this philosophy with not only the clients but the families and their support system (Lawyers, Judges, Employee Assistance Program Representatives). He supervised the community, case management staff, and life coaches to ensure that all points of contact were consistent with this treatment model. Patrick was also able to pass accreditations and state audits with an exemplary score and received accolades for his work with addicts. Patrick has worked in the field of addiction for fourteen years and looks forward to creating a treatment center based on metaphysical principles. He is currently working on a private practice (A Journey to Well-Being LLC) that will focus on helping people achieve their higher selves through spiritual practices. Patrick believes in staying humble and in recognizing Higher Power in everything.
