Rev. Joseph Abbott, Jr., B.Msc.

joseph-abbott-uos

Joseph currently lives on the Washington coast, just south of the Olympic National Park in Westport, WA. Part of Grays Harbor County. He provides both Metaphysical counseling and Shamanic healing services from both this location and at the office he maintains in Lacey, WA., near the State capital in Olympia. He uses his connection to Spirit/ God through Nature and Art. He is the bridge between this world and that of Spirit/ God, knowing that true healing comes from this divine energy and universal consciousness.

Joseph applies the techniques learned as a Metaphysical Practitioner and Shamanic healer to assist members of the community as they find their own personal spiritual path and learn who they truly are as they confront the fears, shadows, self-judgment, and shame, setting the stage where Spirit can heal past emotional and spiritual trauma.

Joseph holds a Bachelor’s degree in Metaphysics, B.Msc. and a Master’s degree in Metaphysics, M.Msc. from the University of Metaphysics in Sedona, AZ. He is currently working on his Doctorate in Metaphysical Counseling and a bachelor of arts (B.A.) in medical sciences from Cabrini University. He is also an ordained Metaphysical Minister and a member of the International Metaphysical Ministry (I.M.M.), offering clergy services to the community; his duties as a minister have focused on Grief and unexpected loss. He assists those left behind through their letting go and their own need for personal healing that the event brought to their attention.

Joseph uses the use of artwork and the creation of drums, rattles, and other sacred crafts as a vehicle for his work. He believes that these activities allow for focused meditation and connection to the divine, opening the dialogue between the participants, viewers, and the universal consciousness, and energy of creation.

As a U.S. Navy veteran with a disability, Joseph understands the challenges of the Veteran community, their families, and the greater community and teaches and works with these communities as they work through PTSD, self-acceptance, moral injury, and finding a new purpose after separation from military service.

Life is full of transitional moments. Society has slowly begun to lose the need for marking transition moments. Without clear transitional steps, people get stuck in place; childhood behavior extends into adulthood; grandparents never stop being parents and clash with their children as both try to parent the same children. Joseph works to restore balance by moving individuals and families through these changes and restoring balance.
