A member of the American Metaphysical Doctors Association (AMDA) since 2020, Rev. Dr. Mysti-Michelle Pruett holds a Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D., specializing in Metaphysical Counseling from the University of Sedona. Dr. Pruett’s dissertation analyzes THE EFFICACY OF METAPHYSICAL PROCEDURES FOR SELF HEALING, while her Master’s Thesis examines THE TRANSFORMATIVE ARCHETYPAL POWER OF ADVERSITY. She is also an Ordained Metaphysical Minister, having received her ordination and Metaphysical Practitioner Diploma from the International Metaphysical Ministry (IMM) University Seminary. She also earned a Master’s Degree in Metaphysical Science from the University of Metaphysics and a Bachelor of Metaphysical Science, B.Msc.
As a University of Metaphysics Graduate in Action, Dr. Pruett brings over twenty years of award distinguishing California Credentialed teaching experience along with an M.A. in Education (Claremont Graduate University 2003), a B.A. in English with a Minor in Socio-Cultural Linguistics (University of California Santa Barbra 2001), to her practice as a Certified Metaphysical Practitioner and Ordained Metaphysical Minister who uses Spiritual Mind Counseling techniques along with her gifts of oration, writing, and poetry to provoke the potential of all souls in which she encounters.
For over twenty-two years, Dr. Pruett has served as a suburban / pre-inner-city high school teacher of courses in Language Arts and elective courses for College and Career Readiness as well as courses for Personal Growth. As a result of her effectiveness in the classroom, Dr. Pruett received the highly distinguished 2012 California League of High Schools Educator of the Year Award for her four-county region.
Working both within and outside the public education sector, Dr. Pruett is a Certified HeartMath Instructor who specializes in the use of evidence-based HeartMath Systems for Trauma Management, Stress Reduction, Anxiety Management, and Self-Regulation in both her teaching and private practice. She instructs clients and students in evidence-based HeartMath techniques for transforming stress, anger, depression, anxiety, and psychological trauma, such as Heart-Focused Breathing, Quick Coherence Technique, Emotional Landscaping, and Attitude Breathing, to name a few. The HeartMath systems are a foundational component of her private practice as a Metaphysical Practitioner and Pastoral Counselor, as they transcend faith-based paradigms and allow for scientific and evidence-based interventions that increase heart and brain coherence.
In the adult education sector, she teaches various forms of Metaphysical Philosophy and has instructed meditation groups through a variety of modalities using Somatic Therapy, Sound Healing, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. She is also a Trained Facilitator for The Sedona Method (www.Sedona.com). Dr. Pruett’s overall greatest excitement is to facilitate souls through the psychological process of self-improvement, as pictured in the alchemical symbolism of the cosmos and the individual systems of beliefs that are most influential to the client.
Dr. Pruett also owns and operates MM’s Metaphysical Services, where she counsels clients online and in person through her mobile counseling service, SedonaWellnessOnWheels.com, and she offers various forms of adventure therapy to her clients ranging from Sedona Vortex hiking, California biking, beaching, and beyond. Through the full integration of all of her gifts and skill sets, Dr. Pruett individualizes the needs of each and every client so that they benefit from culturally relevant and transcendent services.
As a Co-Founder of PlayCareHealth, she promotes holistic health supplements for the mind, body, and gut health, as well as the Inner Balance Technology for improving data-driven heart-brain coherence. Since 2012, Dr. Pruett has also been a California Licensed Real Estate Salesperson who uses metaphysical methods to manifest favorable transactions for her clients.
A member of The Ancient and Mystical Order Rosae Crucis (AMORC), Rev. Dr. Pruett considers herself to be a positive witness of the transformative power of the Universal Inner Source of Life. She serves The Source of Life through several expressions or careers such as teaching, counseling, lecturing, authoring, meditating, decreeing, and ceremonializing the everyday sacred spaces of life.
Dr. Pruett is serving to bring unconditional love and light to the students, families, and communities she serves. Frequently traveling to sacred sites, Sedona, AZ being her most utilized place, she establishes powerful healing vortex points for her clients, and she then draws upon such energetic coordinates during a monthly lunar hour of power meditation she guides in addition to other groups events she hosts online and in person.
In 1999, Mysti-Michelle began reading positive psychology, aspect psychology, and material from the New Thought movement back in her days of study at the University of California, Santa Barbara (1997-2001). Nearly declaring a second minor in Black Studies, she engaged in many courses in the Black History Department during undergraduate study and still carries a passion for this subject matter.
Between 2006 and 2012, Mysti-Michelle set foot on a journey of self-discovery and a journey of investigating origins- human origins. She then began to explore more deeply the indigenous texts and began studying the Hopi, the Maya, the Aztecan, the Toltec teachings, the Quiero people of Peru, and many other ancient prophesies, all of which juxtaposed her Baptist Christian upbringing. During those early years of discovery, she visited sacred sites beginning in Sedona, AZ, down to Chichen Itza, Mexico meditating and communing with the Gods of the ancients. She bathed in the sacred waters of the Cenote at Ik Kil, Mexico, and she remembers emerging for breath after a 50-foot dive and feeling like she had truly taken a new, first breath.
She went on that year of 2012 to receive two very prestigious awards for her effective teaching: one award from the California League of High Schools and another Alumnus of the Year award from her graduate institution. Her career was at the apex of successful, positive impact. As a teacher, she worked within the public education sector and also had a hand in various higher education initiatives serving African American and Latino populations.
Simultaneous to expressing her formal work and passion, Dr. Pruett has been both writing and editing several novels, short stories, essays, and other texts with the intent to begin publishing them in the year and decade of 2020 and beyond. Below is a list of upcoming titles:
Invisible Woman: An epic psychological thriller that employs themes of futurism and feminism in a format modeled after Ralph Ellison’s novel Invisible Man.
See Chell’s by Seashores: A collection of Spoken Word and written poetry recorded over the course of the author’s lifetime. This includes the author’s speech poems “I Teach” and “A Word to My Students,” both orated during the reception of awards in education (California League of High Schools Educator of the Year & Claremont Graduate University Alumnus of the Year) back in 2012.
The Threefold Flame of Futurism: A metaphysical text of instruction in finding one’s true multi-dimensional life purpose and quantum-life path.
The Intuitive Teacher: An instructional manual of teacher permission slips allowing teachers permission to tap inward and access inner power, authentic authority, and entrepreneurial freedom.
Creating A Sacred Classroom: A threefold process of using local and distant environments to enhance creative capacity for teaching and learning.
The Frequency of Roses: A mystical view of an earthly mother’s love and life journey interceding the Cosmic Mother force beyond the veil to alchemically sublimate crimes against the Divine Feminine Principle.
Shenanigans: Both reflective and autobiographical, these are the autobiographical tales from the author’s dubious interactions and other such estrangements that expose the co-creative power of relationships.
Is My Blackness Invisible To You?: A reflective memoir and scholarly examination of the racial dynamics of one perceived as “Ambiguous in Race.”
Minding Black Minds: A contemporary review of African American student achievement in secondary schools nationwide with a call for a return to what W.E.B. Du Bois coined “The Souls of Black Folks,” allowing for the veil of “double consciousness” to be pierced for progress. This publication includes the author’s critical poetic work entitled “Education, Unbox Me!”
The Subversive Pedagogue: An examination of liberation pedagogy: teaching to transgress using film and music from various genres, including Hip-Hop, to create a thought road to freedom.
The Ancestral Obligations for Reparations: A litigation review of a decade-long legal battle between the author’s Grandfather Charles Johnson and the U.S. government for back payments to their Great-Great-Grandfather Emory Allen of the 55th Brigade, who followed the 54th, the very first African American “Glory” soldiers of the Civil War. This historical narrative includes her family’s founding and legacy to the Underground Railroad Society of Cass County, Michigan, as well as the historical account of her Great Grandfather Charles Emory Allen who helped found the Detroit Michigan Chapter of the NAACP.
“Dearest Strangers of THAT Bright Night” This Ode to the Victims of the Isla Vista Massacre who lost their lives in front of her college residence was written and orated by Mysti-Michelle at Storke Tower on the campus of the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2001 to commemorate the victims.
Mysti-Michelle’s metaphysical journey began when she was four years old during a dream encounter in which she was visited by an inexplicably loving yet otherworldly giant green orb that was floating about her dreaming consciousness and vibrating the highest form of unconditional love and light that she has ever encountered. That dream has stayed with Mysti-Michelle for her entire life. She has searched to find that orb ever since and has discovered fractals of that great love among the many experiences she has had on this sacred earth.
